Each print is unique, and no print is identical. This elephant was inspired by the feeling of intense nostalgia during the transition into the fall season along the east coast. Using 72 colors sampled from Maryland trees and leaves, an elephant is shown in the barren branches and vibrant leaves being taken by the wind. The frame is hand crafted and built with tiger maple. Tiger maple is a rare variety of maple used most commonly to build instuments like guitars and violins. Tiger maple is highly sought after because of its chatoyant quality (The ability to reflect light similar to gemstones). It is named tiger maple because of its stripes and because it produces the same effect that tigers eye does.
